Stardew Valley developer shows new game and chocolate

It is no secret that Eric Concernedape Barone, the maker of farm simulation Stardew Valley, is currently working on a new project. Now the hard-working developer has revealed his latest work on Twitter and if your fans should be chocolate or ghost stories, you will love it.

Represents chocolate in Haunted Chocolatier

What is it? The RPG name Haunted Chocolatier puts you in the role of a, well, chocolatier. You live in a spooky lock and operates a chocolate shop for people and ghosts.

Of course, the chocolate makes her yourself and so it is your daily task to get the matching ingredients and produce delicious chocolate dessers. To get to the ingredients, you have to travel over a portal in the castle in mysterious worlds. There you can collect ingredients like berries and kill creatures to get to the materials needed.

Away, the city life is waiting for you. There are numerous residents again, among which probably the love of your life will be stuck.

A first impression of the game you get through the new gameplay trailer:

Similarities with Stardew Valley

How is the game linked to Stardew Valley? In a FAQ , Barone does not want to reveal whether Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier play in the same universe. However, through the cozy atmosphere, the city life and the daily routine flow can be compared both games. Haunted Chocolatier has a higher action RPG share.

As a graphic style, the well-tried pixel look remains with top-down view from Stardew Valley. However, unlike Stardew Valley, there will be no multiplayer part. At least there are currently no plans for implementing this feature into play.

In addition to Haunted Chocolatier, Barone works at other games. However, he believes that he will finish this project first, which is why he now introduces the public.
