The Squid Game makes history in the 2022 Emmy nominations

The 74th edition of the Primetime Emmy Awards is just around the corner and that is why these days the names of all the nominees and guests at the ceremony have been announced. The most prestigious awards in the world of television are surrendered to digital platforms and the big bets of HBO (Succession, 25 nominations), Apple (Ted LTed Lassoso, with 20 nominations), Disney (Only murders in the building, 17), Netflix (The Squid Game, 14) and Amazon (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, 12). But it won't be until next September 12 that we discover the true winners of the 2022 Emmy Awards.

Among the nominations there are redeemable data, such Ted Lasso Moon Knight (Moon Knight) is the series with the most nominations (8) that however is not nominated for best series within its category, being left without the jackpot. Or how Selena Gómez is the only one of the trio starring in Only Murders in the Building that these Emmys have not recognized her work with a nomination (although she is for producer, not for actress).

Not to mention also a historical fact, and that is that The Squid Game is the first non-English speaking series to be nominated for best dramatic series. Also striking the hegemony of HBO.
